What is it?
This six-hour training is designed to equip Master Gardener Extension Volunteers with skills and knowledge to educate homeowners about how septic systems work, maintaining a healthy septic system, and how to plant ornamentals on a septic drain field. This will be the most interesting session on septic systems that you have yet to experience! Category: Water Quality Management (WQM).
What’s Involved?
If participants wish to use this training for Gold Star Level, application and additional outside work will be required in addition to completing the sessions. This training qualifies for Silver Star but double credit will not be given. See Advanced Training information and application here.
Where Will it Be?
This training will be held at Extension offices in multiple counties. Check the registration form for a location near you. Maximum number of participants is 20-40 per site.
What’s the Cost?
The cost for this Advanced Training is $25.00 and covers instruction and materials.
Who Can Attend?
Any certified active Georgia Master Gardener Extension Volunteer. Registration is limited to the capacity at each site. (Must have a current volunteer agreement on file with your county and have completed initial 50-hour service commitment. We will confirm this prior to the start of class.)
